Travel: Must be able to commute into Manhattan 20% of the time. Occasional travel to the UK or other EMEA/APAC locations



What the role is about


We are a super-fast-paced, venture-backed, Seed-stage fintech founded in 2021.  We are looking for a future Product Development superstar to support both our existing product function (London-based) and the CEO/Co-Founder (NYC-based) in client facing meetings.  We have ambitious plans and this role will be an important part of our future vison.

AbbeyCross offers a platform that improves the FX payment market infrastructure for emerging market (EM) currencies. Working with global banks, Money Services Businesses (MSBs), Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) and their EM payment partners, AbbeyCross reduces technical barriers to integration, addresses compliance and continuity risk, and offers much-needed price transparency to the fragmented and inefficient EM FX payment industry.


The AbbeyCross platform delivers a single, flexible integration to two products that future-proof EM FX payments businesses as the payments world moves to ever quicker, more efficient delivery methods:

  • ABX Studio provides unique EM FX market pricing data for greater transparency, insight and benchmarking.   

  • ABX Sync enables true side-by- side price and service comparison for improved payments and trade work flow execution



How you will add value:


  • Product Strategy: Being in deep and regular conversations with clients and payment partners in the USA (and beyond). Understand their needs and assist in aligning these with the Head of Product based in London



  • Client Facing: Developing relationships with banks, MSBs, and NGO’s representing the Product team and providing pre-sales support to the CEO 



  • Leadership: Being innovative, curious, adaptable. Providing clarity in vision and direction to cross-functional teams. Foster a culture of curiosity, innovation, collaboration, and excellence.



  • Innovation: Driving product innovation via an experiment-based culture by identifying market opportunities, leveraging customer feedback, and staying at the forefront of industry trends.



  • Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Collaborating effectively with teams across the organization.



  • Product Lifecycle and performance Management: Proactively participating in conversations for the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, to product and portfolio roadmaps and continually optimize based on customer needs and feedback, towards business goals such as adoption, growth, engagement, retention or pivot points.



  • Strategic Partnerships: Identifying and pursuing strategic partnerships that enhance the product and contribute to the overall success of the business.




What you will need to be successful in this role:


  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cross-border payments, within innovative, ambiguous, complex or fast-moving environments.



  • Pro-Activity: Taking initiative, spotting opportunities, and taking action to develop them further – likewise with identifying potential risks and mitigating them through action.



  • Adaptability: Adjust quickly to change and understand that change is a constant in a start-up. The ability to pivot from an original plan to maintain speed of development.



  • Curiosity: Eager to learn more and understand ways to think, and re-think, what you believe to be true.



  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plans.



  • Innovative Mindset: A track record of innovation, creativity, and a willingness to challenge the status quo.

  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.



  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a business, technology, data science or a related field

  • This position has a salary range of US$55,000 - US$75,000. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location.
